I’ve been listening to a few books at 1.5 speed recently, but the Zahn books read by Marc Thompson need to be slowed down to 1.2 at least for full enjoyment of the folie and masterful imitation of the character voices

So far does this seem as good as the Heir to the Empire trilogy? (assuming you’ve read them)

I think it’s good! Just as cleverly set up as the Heir to the Empire trilogy, though the vibe is different, as this one is the rise of Thrawn whereas the other is long after he’s already in power and feared for his cunning. I feel like HttE was a little more action-oriented (though granted it’s been a while since I first read them), but I’m still very much enjoying this series and it’s ingenuity.
