All I’m going to say is that Lyla, you REALLY don’t need to say “when Boone said “stupid dog”, he really meant “this angel of a dog.” We get it. It makes us readers feel stupid. Or like you think we’re stupid. Other than that one line, I am really enjoying this book! can’t help but think Collins is being a bit immature walking out on her sister like that though. Open up to each other!!

I love the emotional moments of this book. They’re not cheesy, just unspoken acknowledgement of wanting to hold your ageing parents a bit tighter when they leave for a long trip or something.

I ABSOLUTELY. ADORE. THIS. Booooook!!!! The banter, the writing style, the cosiness, the emotional undercurrent without getting cheesy… this is shaping up to be a 5 star!! I knew it would be good from the first chapter! I felt lighter reading it than I have in a long time. First book I picked up where I felt excited!

I love this book. I connect to Collins more than I thought I would. Came for the vibes, stayed for the emotions.
