Instead, I spent time eating well, watching movies, doing yoga and making coffee. I started to have an interest in other things besides myself and when I turned back to reflect, I realized that my life wasn’t a failure after all.”

“Maybe? I don’t know. But I came to dislike wanting to fina job. I’m having fun now. That’s enough and isn’t this what life is about?”

So wise - I love this book and this author ❤️

Another favourite chapter “A life surrounded by good people”

Previous update was from page 227 btw on Minjun grounding himself with coffee to deal with uncertainty.

“He learnt that if he hated the wavering, the uncertainty, all he needed to do was to hold on to something to stay focused. So, he did. He anchored himself with coffee. Emptying himself to distractions, he embraced it wholeheartedly. He wanted to see where it would take him, where he could go with it.”
Sounds likes a great anxiety countering / grounding technique.

Another great chapter - “With honesty and sincerity”. Reflected and gave guidance in the age old question of “what do I do with my life”. Brilliant piece of writing here as well as the way the scene was written.
