as someone who was more rooting for mare and maven, her suddenly sharing a kiss with cal made me go "woah.. okay, i mean... good for you guys, now.. can i take mavey since you don't want him? okay, thanks!"

i honestly didn't expect to love maven and cal, i was doubtful if the author could make privileged royalty sympathetic, especially from the eyes of mare, but i think it was handled well

this is pretty interesting, im intrigued about the world, though i will admit it's kinda difficult for me to imagine it in my head since it's kind of like a medieval kingdom mixed with sci-fi technology - which is very unique! that's why i can't quite picture it, it's nothing like the worlds i've ever come across
