Just finished FRANKENSTEIN. Never read a proper gothic novel but this has all the ingredients...Hubris, secrets, regrets, dread(which Shelley really knows how to ramp up), destructive revenge, and a toxic love/hate pseudo father/son relationship that is consummated only in death. Heartbreaking tale of two outsiders.
