What is it with Liv Brywood and honesty. Or lack of honesty, rather. This is the 6th book in the series and the 3rd which has lies as a plot device. The opening.
In #1 there was a huge lie of omission. In #2 the heroine lies about her abilities and experience. I don't remember 3, 4, & 5. In this one, the heroine is lying about everything. I'll finish it (probably), but not without breaks to get over being pissed off.
