Not even 30% through this book and am crying - had to post an update because I want to remember how impactful this book is right from the start. (So far) this book speaks to the depths of my soul, to the Melissa who spent her childhood crawling through brambles, climbing cedars, and crying when her friends, those stunning and majestic beings that turned our earth into a habitable land, were cut down all around her.
