Just bc people respond differently to the same traumatic experience doesnt mean that they are choosing to respond that way?? It just means that they are different people???? Like bru, how would you think that is a good argument to prove people are choosing to suffer from trauma??

Plus, sometimes, the reason people cant change their view is not only bc their brain is choosing not to, but also because of their environment and conditions. Youre not choosing if youre forced into an answer! You dont have any options if you have only one! (Im on page 50 & im already raging, i swear ill tear this book apart when I finish it omg)

TRAUMA DOESN'T EXIST?

Okay I understand the point he is getting at. Sometimes the reason people can't heal from a trauma is because their brain is choosing not to, actively or passively. Bc change is so scary, rather than changing your view on things, your brain decides to keep suffering.

But saying that trauma doesnt exist is suuuuch a bad take.
