Finally, the POV I was waiting for. Though I have learned to appreciate the journey so far, love how the language somehow softens from POV to POV.

Also super cool how, in this world where women are not considered people, there's a void that men fill, some are described as 'gossiping' and Servan is seen through the cliche of the manipulative, disloyal woman, for example.

What does it say about my recent reading that multiple books I've read have featured cannibalism enough that I had to research this disease I remember seeing a horror movie about many years ago - it's called Kuru and in fact appears because of consuming human flesh. Help. Literally three books I read this week had people-eating :((

For something written in 1974, it's amazing how it has the vibe of an incel forum circa now and how it depicts the logical conclusion of what the current technofascists white supremacist christofascists are trying to accomplish!

Ruxandra Grrr Another example: 'Men were romantics, of course – they could afford to be – and they loved to magnify the significance and danger of anything that happened to them.'

Anyway, this book is full of banger quotes.
