I like Later but my favorite of the Hard Case Crime Novels is Joyland. I LOVE that one. I thought The Colorado Kid was OK at best

I wasn't keen on Joy land, as I'd read similar stories set around fair grounds before. I found it old hat. I liked the Colorado Kid because I'd watched the Haven series, which is based on the book. Each to their own. Not everyone likes the same books, which is a good thing.

Imagine how boring the world would be if we all enjoyed everything exactly the same. I love talking to people with different opinions as long as it stays friendly
