It’s almost taken me a year to read this just because it’s so interesting! Really enjoying how broad L’Engle’s spirituality is, I’ve said it before but it’s rare that I hear someone pick away at the darker parts of faith from within the same way I have.

This past chapter was all about how we must love everyone to fully align with God, which sounds so dull when I say it, but was written in such a thoughtful and inspiring way, it left me with a lot to think about.

Book 1
"And It Was Good"
Wow, this book is a treasure. Maybe it's the Episcopalian in me, but I feel as though I'm being nourished by L'engle's wanderings through the first book of the bible. Anyone who regularly checks my Goodreads will know I'm probably her biggest fan, and this book is no exception. I come away from it with the softest heart towards all of humanity and a greater love for the divine.

The two short stories she wrote about Eve's first birth and Cain's killing of Abel both made me cry. Speculative fiction at its finest.
This book is gonna take me a while.
