Riveting and intriguing but could have used another pass at editing. There are times where a sentence doesn’t read right as if a couple words are missing. At other times homophones are used such as “teaming” instead of “teeming” or “hostels” instead of “hostiles”. Not a common issue but jarring when noticed. Otherwise an enjoyable read and interesting magic system.
