I like it but I am finding it hard to get through - not sure why. It’s a gothic historical fiction with the protagonist being the evil one. You can feel her come up-pence happening any moment. I should be devouring this book but I am not. In terms of supernatural horror there is some black magic performed by the protagonist but that is all.

So far so good - for the first time in a long time I am enjoying my reading. The heroine is b**** - I love gothic horror novels with evil women protagonists. I hope she gets hers.
