I’ve got so little time to read. It’s depressing. But I’ve grown to love these characters. The interactions between our MCs and the side characters are amazingly funny.

The cages seem to become odder the further the plot proceeds.

I hope there’ll be an explanation why his soul fragments are in the wildest places.

It took them an astonishingly long amount of time to realise that Mr [X] died in a well.

Progress has been made. I love how gentle Wen Shi is when it comes to dealing with the ghosts that were put wrongfully into cages like Shen Manyi.

Very nice and creepy escape room cage. I didn’t know it when I started this book but it’s perfect to be read around Halloween. 👻

I can’t believe how they just got 4 roommates instead of just one.The next chapter is about a dream of the past. Will all the flashbacks all come as dreams?
Also, I’m fully immersed in the story now.

I’ve got some thoughts about it now that I know two people can share a cage. My guess is that our MC and ML both have a cage that has to be solved and that those overlap as well. Wen Shi is definitely an unreliable narrator. Not sure yet about Xie Wen. Everything seems possible.
