Not what I was expecting. The introduction (and title) set this out as a book to inspire the next generation of leaders. I was expecting inspirational words, signs of hope, and/or examples of monumental historic changes. Instead, the vast majority of this seems to be a depressing retelling/explanation of the recent miserable politic landscape.

Campbell does well to call out apathy as a dangerous emotion. Whether or not we choose to engage with politics or social justice we should never feel “it’s pointless”.
It wonder/worry about the growing trend of nihilism among GenZ. How do we challenge this?
I also wonder how social media can be a help or hindrance in this regard…
