I love Junsaku's daughter, Fukano - Junsaku, a top samurai, teaches Fukano self-defense/martial arts and she can outrun/kick ass against all the boys in her school. Even though Fukano is banned from training in martial arts at school with the boys, expected to learn flower arrangement and other things to 'prep' her to be a wife, she won't settle, standing up against the discrimination shown to female martial artists.
