So it would seem the Three Body Problem game is being used to gather like minded people for some problem solving (that being the three Suns bodies) and their irregular pattern of movements. It is very abstract in how it is tackling these concepts - apparently there is a solar system which has these three bodies (suns) and the game is not solely a game. Very purculiar. Main protagonist seems to be a double agent also

Not many Spotify hours left :( so might need to put a hold on this which is big sad as the momentum I have built up with it makes it so much better. Although I hold it while feeling good about it then I will eagerly await next month to pick it back up.

Wow this has been very engaging - much more than the show version. The lore dump from what happened at the Red base with the giant antenna and its purpose was told well (as a story to the protagonist from the lady who worked there). The 'Three Body' game is a virtual game which was build (I assume either by or at the influence of aliens). The main char solved the worlds structure and it got them to level 2...

Old mate seeing the numbers reminds me of parts of the show but I don't remember it well. Curious. The 'video game' with its chaotic eras and characters is super confusing lol. It's just so abstract, it's engaging but I need to pay attention the whole time to keep on top of what's happening, if I don't it's so random it's easy to get lost.

The pre-time skip is a bit confusing but having seen the show and that part I know it's kind of meant to be and ties in later. The post time skip section is very interesting raising concepts about physics which would change the composition of everything humanity knows or basis itself on. It's a cool concept and explained very well. The names are going to be hard to keep up with in audio format given the translation

Picking this up knowing full well I will run out of Spotify hours this month before getting close to finishing it, but alas I want to make use of the hours and this seems interesting (I gave the show a go way back when but didn't get into it so hopefully the audiobook is more engaging). I will likely get 5ish hours out of the 14-15 of this so will then need to pick it back up in December. Detailed notes/update needed
