Jan-Maat Was this a lucky find from a book swap box?

ambyr No, I actually paid for this one! I do continue to have a minor Kephart obsession.

Jan-Maat Ok! I hadn't noticed that you are a fan

Hah. I will quote Camping and Woodcraft at people at the drop of a hat; I have not only read his biography (and George Masa's biography, because why not) but dug through the scanned primary source letters from the online Kephart archive. His essay about library work makes me laugh like a loon every time I read it, and his letter about spending a "blue Christmas" lonely in DC makes me tear up. One day I will make it to Bryson City to see his grave.

...maybe "minor obsession" was understating it.
