This omnibus has the first 3 books in the series. Finished book 1. The reviewer quote on the front says he never laughed so much since Whisky Galore. Mmm. I haven’t laughed. Quite a bit is humour at the expense of the locals - smug English superiority looking down on backward Hebrideans. Some humour very horrid about people with intellectual disabilities. Yes, of its time but still…
