this book is just… boring. I don’t care about Fia or the story. I just want to know its connection to The Ascended.

Apparently I should have read Riftborn and Duskbound before The Ascended as the ending was heavily tied to this series.

So far I am struggling to stay engaged, the writing style feels different, weak.
