Written as diary entries for Bridget and Joan, it reads more like a poor man's Cissie and Ada; the jokes are constant, but outside the realm of believable, which actually takes away some of the comedy aspect and makes it a bit tiresome. It's every cliche about old ladies in one book, and so far not that well executed.
