Really very interesting so far, but not what I was expecting. A lot about Japanese culture and how humans struggle to fit into societies they're flung into, regardless of if by choice or not.

I'm currently alternating between this and My Name is Red, and yes, while i maybe wasn't entirely sure what to expect (from the blurb, and not having read anything else by the author), it's also been abit unexpected... not necessarily in a bad way, just abit unexpected. I'm way behind you i think, but plan/hope to read on some more. my copy is read by the author! (donated to the RNIB library by the publisher). glad you're finding it interesting :)
