Reading these pages, I thought about how Wesley had a choice between Justice and Family Loyalty. If I was Wesley, I would only trust my brother since I had spent more time with him. However, in the book the choice was different. David's family decides to not believe Frank. I could assume that Wesley had a hard time making the choice. I am looking forward to see how Uncle Frank is going to react and the truth.

The book left me with a lot of questions. Frank kills himself. Does that mean that Frank harmed people and he did not have any excuses for him to be out of the line of suspicion? Or did he kill himself because of the pressure that he was feeling? Or did he try to kill Wes's family to escape and run away? For me, the first question made more sense, however, I could still ask myself if Frank did not harm people.

We know that Wes decided to lock Frank up and shows he wants to be the Sheriff not a brother and do the right thing. In this pages Wes goes to talk to his dad, and tell the fact that Frank is locked up and investigate what Frank did. The book told that Hayden was mad and wanted the investigation to stop. It was interesting to see Hayden not being shocked about harming people and was staying as a question.

In this pages, Wes decides to arrest Uncle Frank. The questions that I was asking myself before, which was if Wes is going to be a family member and defend his brother or be the sheriff and solve the case for the town. The decision that Frank made was clear that he wanted to be a sheriff but at the same time, I could assume that Wes still did care that Frank was his brother because he did not send him to jail.

Now, Wes decides that he will do what the sheriff should do. He now is trying to figure out what actually happened. This decision was unexpected since if it was me, I would still believe that my brother would never hurt people. I would believe that he ran right in to a trap that was set up. Since he was handsome and smart so I would expect that all lot of people was jealous to him.

In these pages, it was extremely shocking to know that Maire died. Reading, I got to realize that being brave does not always mean fighting people that harm people. Looking at Wes's perspective, Wes could be brave and courageous by defending his brother or being a Sheriff and accusing him for crime. However, it was understanding to see Wes thinking that Frank killed Marie.

Now, the story gets intense. The questions that popped up in my head are getting solved and at the same time things are popping up. David overhears about David's mom telling David's dad that his uncle, Frank harmed the India girls. Reading this pages, it made me question, Why did Uncle Frank harm them, Would the housekeeper Marie be lying about that? Should David's dad trust his brother or trust his housekeeper?

Until page 30, it is really interesting how the author is talking about the stories in David's perspective. David was feeling that something is going on, however David not knows what is happening. The only information that David has is that the family housekeeper, Marie gets sick. The questionable point is that Marie did not want Frank, the doctor to come. I had so many questions, does Marie know something about him?

The most interesting event that drew my attention was that David (the main character)'s dad dropped out of law school o be a sheriff. In the book it was also mentioned that David did not like his dad being a sheriff. However, it could be assumed that David's grandfather encourage David's dad to be a sheriff. In the pages David mentions that it is quiet and still right now but their will be a big event coming soon.
