In comparing the nation’s religions, she says “in our worship, the wail of fear gave place to the Hosanna and the Psalm.” That’s so beautiful, so true! How good is the God that we serve that He didn’t build a religion like any man has made (poorly conceived, power hungry, inequitable), but perfectly balanced in governance and relationship - that LOVE to/from God is even a part of our religion! ❤️❤️

This is my second time going through the entire book, but there’s certain sections I’ve already read over and over and over!! Some even nine times now!

And my book is abundantly highlighted!! 😂❤️

Guys, no other book has tempted me more to want to start a podcast or an online live book group than this title!!

Why, why is this not listed on every significant book list?!?

She’s one of the best literary motherhood heroes I’ve come across! Her full attention, her wisdom and her boast in the truth turn a doubtful moment for her son into a solid resolution. I’m taking notes - and I’m making myself ready and able to address my kid’s hard questions when they come.

The second time around is better? Yup!! Yes!!
