People have been so negative about this one, and maybe I went in with low expectations because of that. But I am really really enjoying this. It’s simple but excellently done.

Flying through this because it’s so readable. It touches on a lot of interesting ideas but in a way where they’re just woven into the story. I appreciate the narrator’s reflective nature; it’s like a midlife crisis without the flair.

I love the emotional acuity the narrator has while at the same time being a bit lost at sea. It speaks to the very specific experience of this kind of character so well
