Sooo I didn't love this as much as her other work, it just didn't hit the spot. Maybe I've read too many like I'm this is short succession so I didn't appreciate it..... so I will re-read in 2-3 years and see if I feel differently.

I have a stage of I don't want to stop reading but I'm tired.... will finish this one tomorrow.

It's picked up some now

There's certainly some good bits, the plot has gone a bit off track from where we started so not sure if it'll come back to that.

The friend has returned

Looking at the date of when this was published and seeing it's her more recent work it definitely makes sense now. She's trying to be more pc I think but her stuff was unapologetic and that's why I loved it. Definitely like her older work better.

At least with untouchable you saw her thought process, how she came to terms with her relationship with the MMC, this has. One of that. And honestly TikTok videos of rescue dogs that she sends him when she known him a week. Really. And nothing has been said about her would be attackers.
I'm still holding out hope it's going to improve but so far I don't love it as much as her other books.

So I'm not sure about this one.... I don't like the main FMC, she's mildly annoying and immature. I do like the MMC. She goes straight into living at his house "for protection" after knowing him 1 day an they're basically in a relationship, she doesn't talk to her best friend/roommate mate at all which is weird and doesn't seem at all bothered by the fact she was almost raped and killed.

This edition is soo gorgeous. The pages have stunning art, they're lovely and smooth AND they lay flat. Doesn't get better.
