I cannot tell you how odd it is reading about Wounded Knee from the POV a soldier. This is a collection of interviews of soldiers who served during the Indian Wars. It's important to note, that these "wars" carried on over a 30 year period and against various different tribes in different regions of the western United States. Due to this, these men had to FIGHT for recognition and pensions.
