My coworkers love this book and have been recommending it, so I decided to give it a go and right off the bat I don't really like the writing style.
Im also not a fan of romantasy at all (I did enjoy ACOTAR but lets be real I only enjoyed it because the Night Court is the best character), so will I try to read this? Sure, but am I guaranteed to enjoy it? No.

Finally, its gotten slightly easier to read, why did Xaden become funny/charming all of a sudden, his entire personality just changed.

Theres no way I can take this book seriously, as everytime Violet says how much she is attracted to Xaden, it's actually hilarious.
I'm not understanding how its so popular though, if I went into this blind I'd be disappointed, but I've spoiled myself on mostly everything so I have lowered my expectations.

My coworker finally lent me the book to borrow after forgotting about it a couple of times.
There was a moment in here that I thought was quite silly, so I might have a more enjoyable time reading this then I assumed, (also Xaden, why is it spelt like that oh god, his cruelty is more absurd then it is scary).
