A book that I thought would be a quick, easy read is turning out to be nothing like I had expected (so far, not in a good way). The main character, Percy, tries so hard to be that stereotypical “I hate everything” emo kid of the early 2000s. The writing reads more like an essay than a book.
Another rating mentioned, “the author lives in Portland, OR & it shows” I couldn’t have said it better myself.
