I miss the old Louise. Her books used to have food, poetry and warmth. This is probably the third book in a row that’s been about some mass conspiracy. I miss the single neighborhood murders that Gamache would investigate.

Elizabeth G I agree. I found the Gray Wolf to not even sound like Gamache of the earlier books. So far I haven’t been able to get myself to read this one and up until the last one I’ve been a huge fan of the series. I don’t understand why mystery writers have to keep getting darker and darker as they go on.
