deeply uncomfortable, it's hard to find american anti-war stories as they often concern themselves more with the tragedy of the soldier than the obscene violence they deploy on brown people overseas. Less an attempt to find meaning in annihilation than the reckoning of being the empire that rose out of the ashes of Nazi Germany and the indigenous holocaust. Insanely good so far.
