When Hayek wrote this book, he genuinely devoted it to “The Socialists of All Parties”. I think this is why, in part, it is such a slog to read through. Hayek reiterates his points many times, writing a page when only a paragraph is needed. I think this is because he is determined to not be misunderstood (purposefully or otherwise) by the reader.
