1) You don't need to tell us what the main character does for a living 3 times within the first 8 pages. 2) WHY WHY WHY would someone be so stupid as to go out in the ocean without looking at the sky or checking the weather?? 3) WHAT IS THE POINT OF EVERYONE climbing over their balcony to exit their apartments when they can just use the front damn door? I mean one person okay, but two? No. Never would happen. WTF?
