CANNOT BELIEVE THAT. Even though it was leading up to it and was up to speculation of how the Indian Summer of a Forsyte will end I didn’t expect it (even though I should). Don’t know how to feel about the supposed ‘friendship’ with Old Joylon and Irene, when for him, she represented life (and mainly beauty). It shows in the next chapter that the continuation of that does not follow which is a shame.
