God doesn’t use a meritocracy - thankfully- what if we actually got what we deserved?!!
Even Job, a man upright and blameless in Gods sight was subject to external circumstances, things happened to him beyond his control.
God is in Control, even what we perceive as “good” and “bad” are just steps (although i still wrestle with evil is NOT part of His plan)

Merit based systems while more just than hereditary systems of favor and success suffer from the creation of winners and losers based on your “talent and industry” thus the winners become arrogant and the losers become discouraged and ultimately angry. Such a system fails to acknowledge the role of luck in success. And we have also failed to value the contributions of the “less successful”

Coming now to the solutions but the explanation was convoluted and i was trying to multitask, so will re listen to this section.
In addressing wealth disparity, the state can step in and tax to close the wealth gap or better yet people could do so and give back after a certain cap on wealth - no one should ever ever have 100 billion dollars while the poor are starving.

What about those left behind? The pro/ con to merit, the con - high achievers achieve, med to low achievers either 1) didnt have the talent / industry or 2) the system is rigged. Neither produces good outcomes
