I literally made a status update about how in order to combat the homophobia on this app I was going to start removing one stair from EVERY straight romance I read going forward and saying it would be better queer 😭🥀 they are so annoying sometimes acting like they can’t stand the same gender kissing then liking something crazy like 5 brothers or just straight abuse 💔

@Sen that’s kind of iconic, I might do that too (tho I think I already subconsciously rate them lower by default), but yeah so much straight romance (and a considerable amount of its readers) have always felt very conservative-breeding-propaganda-adjacent to me

@Allan I’m only making an exception for Aoife and Joey from BOT and Henri and Olivia from the cure for dreaming because TCFD is my favorite book ever and Aoife and Joey is one of my OTPs… sigh these “minus one star because gay characters” or “DNF because gay people” starting to pmo I can’t play nicely anymore

@Sen I really need to get around to reading TCFD once I’m feeling slightly less heterophobic

@Allan it’s ok I understand heterophobia is hard to get past💔 I headcanon Franny and Genevieve in the book to be kinda lesbian for each other and it’s romance subplot if that makes it any more better for you ❤️‍🩹
