The military aggrandising is pretty nauseating. The inclusion of Ninja Warrior obstacle course, right down to the curved ramp at the end? Not exactly creative. I have the distinct impression that I am not the target audience for this book.

I have only just started, but so far I hate it. I was not prepared for the jarring present tense first person perspective, nor the very modern language. But I am planning on giving Yarros a chance, and seeing where the story takes us.
