I think there was a mistake made when printing this book: On page 48, the last sentence does not continue on page 49. And the first sentence on page 49 is a whole new scene. And it’s confusing: page 48’s setting up a scene and it just gets cut off.
It seems like a page or two just didn’t get printed.
And it’s such a crucial scene. It’s evident that it was building to the climax/revelation of the mystery.
