charlie is the most unrealistic outcast loser main character archetype ever because tell me why he pulls three seniors as a freshman??? like... sam gets to be his first ever crush and real kiss, mary elizabeth is his first sexual partner and now he makes out with patrick in his car? charlie's charm must be IMMACULATE (and... honestly, it is, he's very easy to love as a character)

it feels like i'm reading a novel about my younger self before i pulled myself together and decided i was finally normal, it makes me feel oddly sentimental and nostalgic in the sense that i kind of miss that time in a way for some psychological reason i don't even want to begin to untangle

charlie means so much to me

yikes we are only 45 pages in and i've already been hit at my core with that scene where charlie feels like he's being accepted for the first time.... (i'm so ready for that to backfire somehow)
