Finley grabbed a handful of roasted chestnuts from the bowl and glanced out the window as he slowly chewed them one by one. Snow fell upon snow, and far below, at the bottom of the hill, the old human city loomed. He’d never been to their world, but he'd read plenty about it, mostly in fairy-tale books. Frankly it worried him.
