I never thought I would be struggling to put down fanfiction!! for me the biggest element of fanfiction is that it doesn’t sound like the author’s voice, and it just takes me out of it. I know that that’s the whole point of fanfiction is that somebody else is writing it… but I’m genuinely surprised that it does feel like JK Rowling’s voice - not perfectly, of course, but enough to keep me satisfied
