I had to DNF this and I have never done that before and it makes me sad because I really don’t like the feeling of doing that. I really, really wanted to like this book and I tried to push through but I simply cannot with the way it’s written. Why are the characters speaking in the past tense throughout the chapters? It was very confusing to me. I even tried reading it in the present but it was just too much.
