A black and white illustrated story of two small seeds, Louise and Merwin, from a tree, that find themselves set off into the world by a firestorm. They end up on the ocean floor, speaking to King Kelp, and held captive in a shell, meeting microscopic beings, who call themselves Scientists, who help them understand where they are. Louise and Merwin's mother tree taught them about being planted and growing.
