I write this down because I’m in a book club and I want to remember things for our meeting. It’s hard to read, I think it’s because it’s written in French and I haven’t read book in French for a long time but still the dialogues are weird, the expressions used a too polished. My girl is supposed to be poor and she’s speaking like royalty… The language is posh instead of familiar and that makes it weird.

I have a bit of trouble getting into the story because I feel like it looks a bit like a mix between the Hunger Games and Fourth Wing but we’ll see…
