I find it cliché and cheesy when Murakami refers to high culture art in his books, and Proust is doing the same. Can one excuse Proust? I’m not sure.

We’ll see how long it will take me to get through it..! I think it’s more a lifestyle than a book to read that we’ve signed up to haha, don’t mind if it takes ages to finish. Then it feels like following the main character (gosh I don’t even remember his name at this point) day for day in the same time span as in the story!
