Some of these stories from Trevor’s past just sound so unbelievable. It’s so interesting seeing the comparison of black South African norms to Western norms and how they clash. Reading about the innocent “Go Hitler!” chant at the Jewish School’s multicultural event felt like a fever dream.

There are so many hilarious scenes, but man, I am in the trenches of generational trauma now. Patricia Nombuyiselo Noah is tough as mfkin rock!!

On his podcast, I always enjoyed Trevor’s takes on current affairs with his way of comedic a relief to make something so terrible feel less so. But wow he takes it to another level in these first 30 pages.
The stories about his mother are insane, crazy traumatic and I can’t even believe the amount of things he’s had to go through in just the first decade of his life.
