The book is written with a very liberal and anti-Catholic slant, more obvious in some parts than others, but still worth reading.

Really nice to get a feel of the Italian psyche.

Nice :) The book quotes someone who says many Italians feel superior to others because of the Roman Republic/Empire and Renaissance, but honestly, who could blame them?
