Something that stood out to me. Tobit 3:7-15 parallels exactly with the Sadducee’s questioning of Jesus in their hypothetical of the widow and her 7 husbands. It makes me wonder if the Sadducee’s read Tobit despite only holding the Torah as authoritative. Tobit was written sometime between 4th to 2nd century BC.
