I knew her tragedy was going to be a bridge to cross the last vestiges between Leslie and Anne.

With the way Anne's life had been since Anne of Avonlea, I expected her to have a healthy baby and an easy delivery. This was shocking; Matthew's death was a far lesser tragedy.
