I had a hard time relating to the author of this book… I found the way she wore getting completely black out drunk as a badge of honour very cringy. Many of the other conversations and things she did with her friends did not age well and although I understand it’s part of the coming of age story and the rape culture of the time it just didn’t sit well with me.
